Chaperone Duties
Thank-you for taking the time to chaperone during rehearsals. Here are a few things we need your help with:
-
ALL backpacks should be lined against the wall ONLY. This helps keep the floors clear.
-
Distribute name tags. You can lay then on a table; as kids come in they can look for their tags. The younger kids may need help putting them on.
-
No snacks inside the classrooms or MPR. Water is allowed.
-
Only students that are part of the cast should be at rehearsals.
-
Absolutely NO PHONE usage during rehearsals (applies to all students). Please set a good example with our students and refrain from using your phone while chaperoning. Unless its an emergency of course. We need all eyes on the students.
-
If students have down time they may practice their lines, practice songs, work on homework or read a book.
-
No running, rumbling, wrestling or throwing things.
-
Please walk around and ensure all students are behaving.
-
You are there to ensure student’s safety.
-
You are there to ensure students follow the rules, stay on task and focused.
-
Remind students to keep all spaces clean.
-
At the end of rehearsals, collect name tags.
-
At the end of rehearsals everyone needs to look around and ensure there is no trash left behind. Leave the place better than you found it.
-
At the end of rehearsals, we have 2 lines: Child care line & pick up line. Child care line – 1 parent takes kids to child care. Pick up line – 1 parent takes kids to front of school for pick up.
